What grade levels are eligible to participate in the Honor Band Festival?

Grades 9 – 12

How are students selected for participation?

Band directors are requested to nominate their most deserving students for participation in the Four-State Honor Band Festival. Students’ previous accomplishments (level of successful participation at the regional and state level) and the priority ratings of directors are all factors that are considered.

What if a student has a known conflict on the date of the event?

Students with known conflicts should not be nominated by their respective directors.

Is there a fee to nominate students for the Honor Band Festival?

No.

Is there a fee to participate in the Honor Band Festival?

Yes. There will be a fee of $10.00 for each student selected for the Honor Band Festival Ensembles. This non-refundable fee will be due as soon as possible after selection notification.

How can payment for selected Honor Festival participants be submitted?

Can parents and others attend the performance(s)?

ABSOLUTELY, in fact they are encouraged to do so! There is no charge for audience members…this is a FREE concert, open to the general public!
